Chincoteague Island

So for Memorial Day, to start off the summer we headed to the beach! We rented out a house with some friends from church and made the short trip over to Chincoteague Island. Other than the six hour traffic ride home on Monday mostly due to trying to cross the Bay Bridge (the only roadway to the Coast), we had a super great time. The water was pretty much freezing. To be honest, I'm not really sure how it managed to be clear of ice chunks, but somehow it did! Some of our group actually went in. Crazy! Mason actually loved the beach, just not the water! Poor little fella.
In fact, he loved his beach clothes so much that he decided to explode all over them. Yes, that's a poo puddle in his pants AND right in the middle of our beach towel. Thanks, sweetie, it makes the perfect 'accent'!This is what I wanted to be doing... Tony had fun digging around in the sand. My guess is it was all a cover to avoid that daggone cold ocean.
Mason has been doing these funny faces recently. Not really sure why, but it's entertaining!
We are getting ready to cut his hair, too. I'm tired of everyone asking 'how old is your little girl' and also of the gnarled mullet-like back of his head. But the wavy curls are so cute, too :(
